Research Assistant: Performed experimental research in the field of micro-gravity acoustic levitation, supporting the leading researcher in the field. We used sound waves to establish energy fields that could levitate drops of liquid, move them, or distort them in known ways. In the microgravity of space, such techniques could enable production of perfectly spherical ball bearings, perfect protein crystals for drug discovery, and other delicate materials processing that can theoretically be done better in the absence of strong gravitational fields.
